All Christians Together Make Up
The One Universal Church Of Christ
He gave up his life for
her to make her
(the
Church) holy and clean, washed by baptism
and God’s word. He did this to present her to
Himself
as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or
any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without
fault.
EPH 5:25b-27

We pray that the following general points
will help you choose a healthy Church.
|
Eighteen
Characteristics of Healthy Faith |
Healthy faith starts in God and
not in our own efforts
Healthy faith grows as we deal
with the realities of life in light of God's truth
Healthy faith is respectful.
As Jesus received all in good faith and made a way for everyone
so do we learn in the same way to respect others in good
faith
God helps us all by giving us the
courage to stand on our own two feet. Christians help one
another as they do the same.
Healthy Church unity is expressed
by many different parts working together and supporting each
other as One Body
A healthy Church shows the same
value for people as God showed by giving His only Son. Rejoice,
You are Loved!
Healthy faith is not offended by
rejection
Healthy faith trusts in God's strength,
and not in the strength of others or our own. God is our
strength!
As God brings out the best in all
of us so does a healthy Church nurtures and protects the
individuality of people. God does not desire a group of clones.
Just as God's love seeks to draw
all men through Christ, so does a healthy Church seek to
draw it's wider community to God through like acts of charity
and kindness
A health Church recognises itself
as a living part of the greater Body of Christ without claiming
any exclusive rights to God's Grace or Love
Healthy faith does not divide people
to "us" and "them". Jesus Christ is the Saviour of all mankind!
A healthy Church stands on its
acts of charity and kindness and does not become defensive
- it welcomes critical evaluation and tough questions
Just as the Lord Jesus came as
a Servant so His Church seeks to serve people out of love
and not to dominate them
Healthy Christians are non-judgemental,
that is they don't judge other people
Healthy faith is Reality Based
- it trusts in the supernatural power of God, and not in
'magic' cures for problems
Healthy faith enables us to embrace
our emotions - love, anger, sorrow, sense of humour, etc
It enables us to embrace our humanity - no illusion of perfection.
Healthy faith is the product of
a healthy spirit and it is expressed as Love, Joy, Peace,
Patience, Kindness, Goodness, faithfulness, Humility and
self-control ( GAL 5: 22 )

Nothing
Can Separate Us From The Love Of God |
Rom 8:31 What can we say about such wonderful things as these? If
God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since God did not
spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t God, who gave us
Christ, also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us
whom God has chosen for his own? Will God? No! He is the one who has given
us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us?
Will Christ Jesus? No, for he is the one who died for us and was raised
to life for us and is sitting at the place of highest honour next to God,
pleading for us. 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s
love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity,
or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with
death? 36 (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed
every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.") 37 No, despite
all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved
us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from
his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons
can’t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers
of hell can’t keep God’s love away. 39 Whether we are high above
the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able
to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our
Lord.
